The Earth Digger 4200XL is a large-format 1/12 hydraulic RC excavator engineered for serious scale construction work. Version 2.0 combines extensive CNC-machined aluminum construction, steel molded tracks, an optimized hydraulic system, independent track control and endless upper-structure rotation in a professionally assembled RTR platform.

Service & Replacement Parts

RC4WD supports the 4200XL with replacement oil pump, brushless ESC, brushless motor, brushed ESCs, moving and turning gearbox motors, pressure relief valve, Version 2 track components and hydraulic fittings. This is an important advantage for a machine intended for repeated heavy-duty operation.

Important Operating Notes

• This model is intended for experienced RC hobbyists and is not recommended for users under 16.
• The excavator ships without hydraulic oil. Fill the reservoir before operation according to the manufacturer instructions.
• Check hardware after shipping and periodically during use.
• Use thread lock sparingly when metal screws thread into metal.
• Do not over-tighten hardware.
• Do not adjust the factory oil-pressure setting.
• Avoid overheating the hydraulic pump and electronics during extended operation.
• The HID/work light may flash under heavy electrical load.

This is a 44 lb hydraulic machine, not a typical hobby crawler. Plan battery access, oil service, transport and storage before purchase. After shipping, inspect track hardware, hydraulic fittings, boom pivots and accessible fasteners before the first full digging session. A stable work surface and careful warm-up of the hydraulic system will help protect the pump, hoses and electronics.
