RC4WD INTERIOR PACKAGE FOR 1982 TOYOTA PICKUP / MOJAVE II & TAMIYA HILUX – VVV-C0379
The RC4WD VVV-C0379 Interior Package is a full-scale cabin assembly developed for detailed Toyota pickup builds using the RC4WD 1982 Toyota Pickup / Mojave II body family and compatible Tamiya Hilux applications. It combines a rigid metal framework with molded interior components to create a complete driver compartment rather than leaving the cab as an empty hard-body shell.
For a scale build, that matters because the interior is visible through the windshield and side glass from nearly every angle. Seats, dashboard surfaces, floor detail, side panels, steering controls and the surrounding structural framework all contribute to the realism of the finished truck.

HEAVY-DUTY MIXED-MATERIAL CONSTRUCTION
RC4WD specifies a heavy-duty stainless-steel structure with a black powder-coated finish, combined with injection-molded ABS plastic interior components. The metal structure is hand welded and corrosion resistant, while the molded plastic parts provide the detailed cabin geometry and trim shapes needed for a convincing Toyota interior.

MORE THAN A BASIC INTERIOR TRAY
The VVV-C0379 is a substantial assembly, not a shallow one-piece tub. The component set creates a layered cabin environment with separate seating surfaces, cockpit structure, dashboard/console details, steering controls, floor and side trim. That extra depth is what makes the interior believable through clear hard-body windows.

STRUCTURAL CABIN FRAMEWORK
The metal framework gives the cabin a purpose-built appearance and visually ties the seat area, dashboard and body structure together. Because the assembly is made from real metal and weighs more than 430g, it also has a meaningful effect on the truck's sprung mass. Builders should account for that added weight when setting ride height, spring preload and damping.

SEATS, DASHBOARD & DRIVER CONTROLS
The molded cabin parts provide the visual anchors that make a hard-body interior look finished: seats with scale contours, steering controls, dashboard surfaces and interior panels. These parts also provide an excellent base for custom paint, upholstery effects, seat belts, gauges, weathering, driver figures and other scale accessories.

FULL CABIN PROPORTIONS
At 143mm long, 148mm wide and 139mm tall, the package is sized around the Toyota pickup cab architecture rather than being a generic universal insert. The correct width and height help the seats, dashboard and upper structure sit in a believable relationship to the doors, windshield and roof line.

INSTALLED SCALE APPEARANCE
RC4WD shows the package installed with Mojave II front-cab configurations and on Axial SCX10-based builds using the compatible Toyota body. These installed examples demonstrate how much of the cabin remains visible through the body once the truck is assembled. Accessories shown in example photography are not necessarily included unless listed below.

NAVIGATION & CUSTOM DETAILING
Application photos show the interior with optional navigation-style detailing. RC4WD specifically identifies the navigation decal in its example imagery as not included. This gives builders a clear reference for how the dashboard can be customized without incorrectly representing optional accessories as box contents.

COMPATIBILITY & BUILD PLANNING
The package is designed around the RC4WD 1982 Toyota Pickup / Mojave II body family and compatible Tamiya Hilux applications. RC4WD also shows it installed on an Axial SCX10 chassis with a Mojave II front cab as an example. Before installation, verify the exact chassis layout, body revision, transmission location, electronics placement and battery position because a full-depth interior uses substantially more space than an empty cab.
INSTALLATION CHECKLIST
- Dry-fit the complete interior before final body assembly.
- Check transmission, motor, transfer-case and electronics clearance under the floor.
- Verify steering-servo, wiring and linkage clearance.
- Plan receiver, ESC and battery placement before closing the cabin.
- Account for the 432.5g added sprung weight when setting shocks and ride height.
- Confirm door, windshield and dashboard alignment before final tightening.
- Route lighting and accessory wiring before the interior blocks easy access.
WHY THIS UPGRADE MATTERS
A detailed Toyota hard body deserves an interior that matches the exterior. When the body has realistic paint, steel bumpers, scale wheels, lights and accessories, visible chassis rails or an empty shell through the windows immediately break the illusion. VVV-C0379 completes the cabin and makes the truck look finished from both outside and inside.
GASHEAD RC NOTE: At over 15oz, this is a serious cabin assembly, not a decorative insert. Plan the build around it. If you give it the same attention as the exterior—paint, wiring, driver detail and proper suspension setup—the result is a much more convincing Toyota scale truck.
