RC4WD THRUST FRONT BUMPER W/IPF LIGHTS FOR 1985 TOYOTA 4RUNNER HARD BODY – VVV-C0758
The RC4WD VVV-C0758 Thrust Front Bumper is a purpose-built front bumper assembly for the RC4WD 1985 Toyota 4Runner hard-body platform. It combines hand-welded stainless-steel construction, a black powder-coated finish, a CNC-machined billet-aluminum chassis mount, molded square headlight housings, a stainless-steel light bracket and molded IPF-style auxiliary lights in one integrated scale package.
This is not a generic universal bumper adapted to fit the truck. RC4WD engineered it around the 4Runner body dimensions and Trail Finder 2 mounting architecture, which helps preserve correct bumper width, grille relationship, front overhang and winch position.

WHY THE MATERIAL MIX MATTERS
The welded stainless structure provides the rigidity and scale-metal appearance expected on a premium hard-body build, while the billet-aluminum mount gives the bumper a precise chassis interface. RC4WD uses molded light housings where small-scale detail is more important than structural load. That combination keeps the bumper strong where it needs to be without sacrificing realistic lighting detail.

INTEGRATED IPF-STYLE AUXILIARY LIGHTING
The bumper includes two sets of square headlight components and two sets of IPF-style lights, supported by the dedicated stainless-steel light bracket. RC4WD recommends connecting the lighting through a multi-function control unit, Tamiya TLU-01/TLU-02, or another compatible LED-light system. Verify voltage and polarity before powering the lights.

WINCH-READY FRONT-END PACKAGE
RC4WD shows the bumper with the 1/10 Mini Warn 9.5cti Winch (Z-E0009) as an application example. The winch is not included. The bumper and mount architecture create a compact recovery-style front end that looks appropriate on the first-generation 4Runner without pushing the winch excessively far ahead of the grille.

DESIGNED AROUND THE 1985 4RUNNER BODY
The 192.9mm overall span is proportioned for the RC4WD 1985 Toyota 4Runner hard body. Installed examples show the bumper integrated with Trail Finder 2 builds using the 4Runner body, front inner fenders, quick-release body mounts and the Mini Warn winch. That application-specific fit is important because bumper height and overhang directly affect both appearance and approach angle.

WHY THIS BUMPER WORKS ON A SCALE 4RUNNER
The Thrust bumper gives the truck the layered front-end detail that a hard-body build needs: real metal structure, correct-width mounting, integrated auxiliary lights and a realistic winch position. It looks functional because the pieces are actually arranged like a full-size recovery bumper instead of being molded into one decorative plastic part.
GASHEAD RC NOTE: On a detailed 4Runner, the bumper is one of the first places where the build can either look convincing or look toy-like. VVV-C0758 gets the proportions, material contrast and lighting layout right. Pair it with proper ride height, scale wheels and a compact winch and the entire front end comes together.
