RC4WD K44 ULTIMATE SCALE CAST FRONT AXLE

The RC4WD K44 Ultimate Scale Cast Front Axle (Z-A0101) is built for 1/10 scale trucks that need realistic axle proportions without giving up trail-ready strength. RC4WD designed the K44 around a compact, narrow housing with small axle tubes, high-steer knuckles, a removable differential cover, and full-size-inspired geometry that looks at home under a Trail Finder 2 or other detailed scale build.

WHY THE K44 IS A SCALE BUILDER'S AXLE

The K44 was designed around realism first. The smaller axle tubes, compact differential housing, and high-steer knuckle layout help the front axle look proportional beneath a hard-body truck instead of oversized. The removable diff cover adds another layer of realistic detail while also making the housing easier to service and customize.

XVD FRONT AXLE SHAFTS

The included XVD universal axle shafts are a major functional feature. Unlike a simple dogbone-style steering joint, XVDs are designed to transmit drive through steering angle more smoothly, which is particularly useful on a front crawler axle that needs both torque delivery and steering articulation at the same time.

2.67:1 AXLE REDUCTION

The K44 uses a 2.67:1 axle ratio, allowing it to integrate naturally with RC4WD transmissions and transfer cases used in scale trail trucks. The ratio keeps the axle suitable for low-speed crawling while maintaining the mechanical layout expected in a realistic drivetrain.

FITMENT NOTES

RC4WD lists this axle for multiple Trail Finder 2 applications, including Marlin Crawler and LWB configurations. Always verify link or leaf-spring mounting, driveshaft length, steering link position, shock clearance, and wheel offset before installation in a custom chassis.

GASHEAD RC NOTE: The K44 is a strong choice when the truck needs to look mechanically believable underneath. The 177mm width, cast zinc housing, removable cover, and included XVDs give it a much more scale-oriented package than a generic crawler axle.
