The CEN Racing M-Sport Ford Puma Rally1 1/8 4WD Brushless RTR combines officially licensed M-Sport Ford rally styling with a full-time four-wheel-drive platform built around an aluminum chassis, big-bore oil-filled shocks, metal drivetrain components and 2S–3S brushless power. Choose your preferred 2023, 2024 or 2025 livery, then select either Truck Only or the GASHEAD RC w/our battery pkg.

THREE M-SPORT FORD PUMA RALLY1 LIVERIES

All three versions share the same core 1/8-scale brushless 4WD platform. Select the year and livery that fits your collection or driving style:

The body uses detailed injection-molded accessories and rally-inspired aerodynamic detailing to give the Puma a much more scale-authentic appearance than a conventional generic rally shell.

HOBBYWING-POWERED 100A 2S–3S BRUSHLESS SYSTEM

Power is controlled by a WP-MAX10-SCT 100A sensorless ESC powered by Hobbywing, paired with a CEN Racing 3658 3000KV sensorless brushless motor. The ESC supports 2S–3S LiPo or 6–9 cell NiMH power and uses a T-Plug / Deans-style connector.

The electronics package includes features normally expected on a serious RTR brushless system: waterproof and dustproof construction, automatic throttle-range calibration, low-voltage cutoff, over-temperature protection, throttle-signal-loss protection and a built-in capacitor module.

The ESC also offers five acceleration/punch levels and nine maximum-brake-force settings, giving experienced drivers useful tuning range for surface grip, tire choice and driving style.

SAVOX 12KG METAL-GEAR STEERING SERVO

Steering is handled by a Savox 12kg metal-gear servo with a 25T output spline. CEN lists output at 10.0 kg-cm and 0.26 sec/60° at 4.8V, increasing to 12.0 kg-cm and 0.23 sec/60° at 6.0V. The ESC's internal switch-mode BEC supports 6V or 7.4V output for compatible high-voltage electronics.

AMP-30 3-CHANNEL 2.4GHZ RADIO SYSTEM

The factory AMP-30 3-channel transmitter includes digital trimming, steering dual-rate adjustment, endpoint adjustment and built-in failsafe functionality. The matching 3-channel receiver operates on 2.4GHz and is designed for a 4.8–6.0V supply.

3MM ALUMINUM CHASSIS & RALLY-SPEC STRUCTURE

The chassis is built around a 3mm aluminum main plate with 3mm aluminum front and rear shock towers and an aluminum arm brace. Full precision ball bearings support the rotating drivetrain, while wider body-mount positions improve body support during aggressive driving.

A front skid plate with durable foam bumper protection helps absorb impacts, while the molded rear diffuser reinforces the rally-inspired underbody layout. The battery tray is designed for quick access and measures approximately 142 × 48mm.

FULL-TIME 4WD CENTER-SHAFT DRIVETRAIN

Power is delivered through a full-time 4WD center-shaft drivetrain with metal transmission gears and an aluminum adjustable motor mount. CEN uses front and rear oil-filled bevel-gear differentials with a direct center drive, giving the car a mechanically efficient layout suited to high-speed rally-style running.

Front and rear hardened-steel dogbones and outdrives handle power delivery to the wheels. CEN lists a 46/14T spur-to-pinion ratio of 3.29:1 and a 40/17T ring-and-pinion ratio of 2.35:1.

BIG-BORE OIL-FILLED RALLY SUSPENSION

The suspension uses aerodynamic lower arms and 12mm big-bore oil-filled adjustable coil-over shocks with 3mm hardened polished steel shafts and racing springs. Adjustable turnbuckles allow alignment changes, while the wheelbase can be adjusted approximately ±6mm for additional setup flexibility.

This combination gives the platform meaningful tuning potential for pavement, prepared dirt and mixed rally-style surfaces rather than limiting it to a fixed RTR setup.

WRC-STYLE WHEELS & PERFORMANCE RUBBER

High-impact lightweight WRC racing wheels measure approximately 56 × 35.5mm. CEN pairs them with high-performance racing-compound rubber tires measuring approximately 56 × 80 × 35.5mm, giving the car the low-profile rally stance and contact patch expected from this platform.

GASHEAD RC “W/OUR BATTERY PKG” OPTION

w/our battery pkg: Includes a 3S 5200mAh LiPo battery and B3 20W LiPo balance charger, selected as a compatible ready-to-run power package for this vehicle. Just add four AA batteries for the transmitter.

Truck Only: Drive battery, LiPo charger and four AA transmitter batteries are required.

GASHEAD RC SETUP NOTES

• For general running, 3S gives the platform its strongest performance but also increases drivetrain and tire load compared with 2S.
• Use the ESC's punch and brake settings to match available traction instead of automatically running maximum values.
• Check wheel hardware, dogbones, outdrives, shock mounts and suspension fasteners after repeated high-speed runs or hard impacts.
• Keep drivetrain components clean after dusty or loose-surface sessions and inspect tires for separation or damage before high-speed use.
• Charge LiPo batteries on a suitable fire-resistant surface and never leave a charging LiPo unattended.

GASHEAD RC VERDICT: The CEN Puma Rally1 stands out because it is more than a licensed body on a generic touring chassis. The 3mm aluminum structure, full-time shaft-drive 4WD, big-bore suspension, metal drivetrain hardware and tunable 100A brushless electronics give it the hardware to back up the WRC-inspired appearance.
