CEN KAOS BLACK BULLET SPIKED WHEEL LUGS – M2.5 – 40PCS – CKD0610

The CEN Racing CKD0610 KAOS Black Bullet Spiked Wheel Lug Set is a scale wheel-hardware upgrade for compatible CEN F-450 American Force wheels. CEN specifies the kit as 40 black bullet-style spiked lugs with M2.5 studs and includes the dedicated 2.5mm socket adapter tool needed for installation and removal.

VERIFIED CEN SPECIFICATIONS

  • Manufacturer: CEN Racing
  • Part Number: CKD0610
  • Series: KAOS
  • Style: Bullet Spiked Wheel Lugs
  • Finish: Black
  • Stud Size: M2.5
  • Quantity: 40 lugs
  • Included Tool: 2.5mm socket adapter
  • Primary Application: CEN F-450 American Force wheels

CRITICAL FITMENT NOTE

CEN explicitly states that CKD0610 is intended for American Force wheels on the F-450 and does not fit the stock KG1 wheels used on the F-250. This is a hardware-interface difference, not merely a cosmetic preference. Do not force the M2.5 lugs into a wheel designed for a different stud system.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

  • 40x Black Bullet Spiked Wheel Lugs
  • 1x 2.5mm Socket Adapter Tool

The included tool is purpose-matched to this hardware family and is also sold separately by CEN as CKD0630 for CKD0610 / CKD0612 service.

INSTALLATION APPROACH

These lugs are small threaded scale-hardware components. Correct installation depends on thread engagement and alignment, not maximum tightening force. Start each lug squarely by hand or with very light tool pressure so the M2.5 threads engage correctly before final snugging.

  • Confirm the wheel uses the compatible M2.5 American Force hardware system.
  • Inspect stud holes for damaged or crossed threads.
  • Start every lug straight; never force a lug that immediately resists.
  • Use the supplied 2.5mm socket adapter for controlled installation.
  • Tighten progressively and evenly around the wheel.
  • Stop once seated; do not overtighten miniature threaded hardware.
  • Recheck all lugs after the first driving session.

THREAD CARE & CROSS-THREAD PREVENTION

M2.5 threads are small enough that misalignment can damage the wheel-side threads quickly. If a lug does not begin smoothly, remove it and inspect the interface rather than applying more torque. A cross-threaded decorative lug can damage the wheel mounting detail and make future service more difficult.

SPIKE CLEARANCE

Because CKD0610 uses an extended bullet/spike profile, verify clearance around the wheel after installation. Check nearby suspension links, steering components, bodywork and neighboring rear-dually wheel hardware where applicable. The spike profile should remain purely decorative and must not contact moving parts.

DUALLY INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONS

On F-450 dually applications, hardware on the inner and outer wheel faces can be more crowded than on a single-wheel axle. After installing the lugs, rotate the assembly slowly and inspect for contact between spike tips, caps, hub hardware and the neighboring wheel assembly.

BLACK VS. SILVER

CKD0610 is the black version. CEN catalogs CKD0612 as the corresponding silver bullet spiked wheel lug kit with the same M2.5 stud format and included tool concept. Choose by wheel finish and visual treatment, while still confirming the same wheel-interface compatibility.

COMMON INSTALLATION PROBLEMS

  • Lug will not start: likely misalignment, wrong wheel interface or damaged threads.
  • Lug loosens repeatedly: inspect thread condition and seating rather than simply applying more torque.
  • Visible wobble: indicates the lug may not be seated squarely.
  • Spike contact: requires clearance correction before running the truck.
  • Tool slips: inspect the lug head and socket for damage or debris.

FINISH CARE

Use mild, non-abrasive cleaning methods on the black finish. Avoid gripping the spike bodies with pliers during normal service because tool marks can damage the cosmetic surface and deform the narrow profile. Use the supplied socket adapter instead.

WHAT CEN DOES NOT PUBLISH

CEN confirms the M2.5 stud size, 40-piece quantity, black finish, included 2.5mm socket adapter and F-450 American Force wheel application, but does not publish a torque specification, spike length, individual lug weight, material grade or coating specification for CKD0610. GASHEAD RC does not invent those values.

GASHEAD RC NOTE

CKD0610 is both a visual upgrade and threaded wheel hardware. The cleanest result comes from correct fitment, square thread engagement and restraint during tightening. If the truck uses stock F-250 KG1 wheels, this is the wrong lug system—do not force compatibility.
