RC4WD INTERIOR PACKAGE FOR 1982 TOYOTA PICKUP / MOJAVE II – VVV-C0378

The RC4WD VVV-C0378 Interior Package is a complete scale-cabin conversion for RC4WD 1982 Toyota Pickup / Mojave II body builds. Instead of leaving a hard body with an empty shell behind the windows, this package creates a full driver compartment with seats, dashboard/console detail, steering controls, floor structure, side panels and a rigid metal cage-style framework that visually ties the cabin together.

This is the kind of upgrade that matters most on a hard-body truck because the interior remains visible through the clear windows from nearly every exterior angle. The added depth, seating, dashboard and structural detail make the truck read as a complete scale vehicle rather than a body sitting over electronics.

HEAVY-DUTY MIXED-MATERIAL CONSTRUCTION

The VVV-C0378 combines a heavy-duty stainless-steel structure with injection-molded ABS plastic interior components. The steel framework uses a black powder-coated finish and is designed for corrosion resistance, while the molded plastic pieces provide the fine cabin shapes that would be difficult to reproduce convincingly in metal.

WHAT THE PACKAGE ADDS TO THE BUILD

The component layout shows why this is more than a pair of seats. The package creates a complete cockpit environment with seating surfaces, dashboard and center-console detail, steering wheel and column components, floor surfaces, side trim and the surrounding structural frame. Once assembled, the cabin has the layered depth expected in a properly finished scale Toyota pickup.

FULL-SCALE CABIN PROPORTIONS

The 144.8mm × 137.6mm footprint is designed specifically around the Mojave / Toyota Pickup cabin instead of being a generic universal interior tray. That helps keep the seats, dashboard and center section in the correct relationship to the doors and windshield. On a scale build, that proportional fit is what prevents the interior from looking too narrow, too high, or disconnected from the body.

SEATS, DASHBOARD & DRIVER CONTROLS

The molded seating and driver-control components give the cabin obvious visual anchors through the windows. They also provide a strong base for additional scale work such as seat-belt detail, upholstery-style paint, weathering, gauges, driver figures, shifters, switches and navigation accessories.

METAL FRAME & STRUCTURAL DETAIL

The powder-coated metal framework adds a completely different level of realism from a flat plastic interior tub. It visually surrounds the cabin and gives the interior the appearance of a purpose-built trail / competition truck environment. At 388.5g, this is also a substantial interior assembly, so builders should account for the added sprung weight when setting shock preload and ride height.

INSTALLED APPEARANCE

Once assembled, the package fills the Mojave cabin from sill to sill and creates visible detail from the windshield, side windows and rear glass. This is especially useful on builds with clear glazing, opening doors or highly detailed exterior paint because an unfinished interior becomes much more noticeable as the rest of the truck improves.

CUSTOMIZATION POTENTIAL

The interior is an excellent base for a custom theme. Builders can finish the seats and panels in contrasting colors, simulate vinyl or fabric texture, add wiring and navigation detail, install driver figures, weather the floor and pedals, or keep the whole cabin clean for a restored street-truck appearance.

NAVIGATION / DASH DETAIL

RC4WD's application imagery shows the interior with additional navigation-style detailing as an example. Accessories or decals shown in installed example photography are not automatically included unless specifically listed with the product, so treat those details as inspiration for customization rather than guaranteed box contents.

COMPATIBILITY

Designed for the RC4WD 1982 Toyota Pickup / Mojave II body family and Trail Finder 2-based builds using that cabin architecture. Before final installation, verify the exact body revision, transmission position, electronics placement and battery arrangement because a full-depth interior occupies considerably more chassis volume than an empty body shell.

INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONS

  • Dry-fit the complete interior before permanent body assembly.
  • Check transmission, transfer-case, motor and electronics clearance below the floor.
  • Verify steering-servo and wiring clearance through the full suspension cycle.
  • Account for the 388.5g interior weight when setting ride height and shock preload.
  • Confirm body doors, dashboard and windshield alignment before bonding plastic components.
  • Route lighting, receiver and accessory wiring before the interior makes the cabin difficult to access.

WHY THIS UPGRADE MATTERS

A detailed hard-body truck can lose the entire scale illusion when the viewer looks through the window and sees chassis rails, wiring or an empty shell. VVV-C0378 fixes that problem by turning the cabin into another finished part of the build. For a Mojave II that already has metal bumpers, realistic wheels, lighting and body accessories, the interior is the logical next step.

GASHEAD RC NOTE: This is not a cosmetic filler piece. It is a substantial 388.5g mixed-material cabin assembly with real depth and structure. Plan the electronics around it, set the suspension for the added weight, and detail it properly. Done right, it is one of the upgrades that makes a TF2 / Mojave build look complete from every angle.
