RC4WD HD ABRASION U DOZER BLADE FOR DXR2 HYDRAULIC EARTH DOZER – VVV-S0251
The RC4WD VVV-S0251 HD Abrasion U Dozer Blade is a heavy-duty front blade upgrade built specifically for the 1/14 Scale DXR2 Hydraulic Earth Dozer. It combines stainless steel and billet aluminum construction with a black-and-yellow powder-coated finish, substantially increasing the size, mass and material-moving presence of the DXR2 compared with a lighter stock-style blade configuration.

HEAVY-DUTY METAL CONSTRUCTION
RC4WD specifies the VVV-S0251 with a combination of stainless steel and billet aluminum. The assembly is finished in a durable black-and-yellow powder coat that matches the industrial appearance of the DXR2 platform while protecting the exposed metal surfaces.
- Manufacturer: RC4WD / JDModels
- Part Number: VVV-S0251
- Application: 1/14 Scale DXR2 Hydraulic Earth Dozer
- Blade Type: U-style dozer blade
- Materials: Stainless steel + billet aluminum
- Finish: Black & yellow powder coated
- Width: 15.9in / 405mm
- Height: 8.46in / 215mm
- Weight: 7.62lb / 3.46kg

405MM BLADE WIDTH
At 405mm wide, the blade spans a large working area in front of the DXR2. That width is useful for pushing and carrying a broad volume of loose scale material, but it also increases the leverage applied to the blade mounts and lift/tilt system when one side of the blade encounters more resistance than the other.
For best performance, keep cuts reasonably even across the blade and avoid repeatedly driving one outer corner into a fixed obstacle. A wide U-blade performs best when it is allowed to carry material across its full face rather than being used as a pry tool.

U-BLADE GEOMETRY
The curved U-style profile helps retain material toward the center of the blade during a push. Compared with a flatter straight-blade layout, the side curvature reduces the tendency for loose material to spill immediately off the ends, making the attachment well suited to bulk pushing and stockpile work in scale construction environments.
3.46KG OF FRONT ATTACHMENT MASS
The blade weighs 3.46kg / 7.62lb by itself. That is a major front-end mass addition on a 1/14 hydraulic machine and should be treated as part of the machine setup, not merely cosmetic hardware.
The added mass increases static load on the front linkage and changes how the machine responds when the blade is raised. It can also affect traction and stability depending on blade position, surface conditions and how much material is being carried. Operators should avoid abrupt direction changes with the blade raised high and should keep the attachment as low as practical when traveling.

DXR2-SPECIFIC FITMENT
RC4WD explicitly lists VVV-S0251 as fitting the 1/14 Scale DXR2 Hydraulic Earth Dozer (VV-JD00015). It is not presented as a universal blade, so compatibility with other dozers or custom chassis should not be assumed without verifying mount geometry, linkage range and hydraulic capacity.

HYDRAULIC LOAD CONSIDERATIONS
RC4WD does not publish a standalone force rating or maximum pushing-capacity figure for VVV-S0251. GASHEAD RC therefore does not assign an unverified tonnage, kilogram-force or hydraulic-pressure requirement to the blade.
The actual working limit depends on the complete DXR2 system: hydraulic pressure, cylinder geometry, linkage condition, track traction, surface resistance and the amount of material being pushed. A blade this large can generate very high reaction loads when it catches on an immovable object, even if the hydraulic system itself is operating within normal pressure.

INSTALLATION & OPERATING CHECKLIST
- Inspect the blade, mounts and linkage before installation.
- Confirm all pivot points move freely through the full intended range.
- Verify hydraulic hoses cannot be pinched at maximum blade lift or tilt.
- Check mounting hardware after the first operating cycles.
- Use thread lock only where appropriate for metal-to-metal fasteners and according to the machine's service guidance.
- Keep the blade low while traveling whenever possible.
- Avoid striking immovable objects at speed.
- Do not use one blade corner as a pry bar.
- Watch for abnormal flex, binding or uneven hydraulic movement under load.
- Clean packed material from joints and mounting points after use.
BEST USE CASE
This blade is designed for operators who want the DXR2 to function more like a heavy production dozer in scale earthmoving scenes. Its wide U-profile and substantial metal construction make it especially suitable for bulk pushing, stockpile shaping and moving loose material where a large blade face provides a real advantage.
GASHEAD RC NOTE: At 3.46kg, this attachment is serious working hardware. The mass and 405mm width can make the DXR2 look and perform dramatically more industrial, but they also multiply the consequences of poor operating technique. Keep the blade low, spread the load across the face and let the hydraulic system do the work instead of using momentum to force the machine through an obstruction.
